RAINY DAY COOKIES

Well, it's raining been raining for almost 24 hours.
Cookies are in need but I am limited on supplies; I have no eggs or milk.
After scouring the inter web for a cookie recipe that
does not need either of those ingredients I found one for
short bread cookies.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups of mini semi sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup of Reeses peanut butter chips
2 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 cup of powdered sugar
1 cup of softened butter

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Beat the butter in a large bowl until light & fluffy.

Sift in the powdered sugar and blend until all the lumps are out.

Stir in the vanilla.

Add in the flour and mix by hand.

Now add both  kinds of chips, and mix by hand.

Roll the dough into ball and place on a covered baking sheet.
I used my silicon baking sheets...best thing ever.

Bake in the oven for about 14 minutes, until the bottoms are golden brown.

Let them cool on a wire rack.

Taste Testers:

LAUREN: EHH they were cookies, nothing to really brag about. They were dry and crumbly but for no other options and having a killer sweet tooth I guess I'm glad I made them.

CJ: Not my favorite cookies that Lauren makes but they did the job in a pinch.  And I still ate like 7 of them.

  1. The cookies look really delicious and I like the idea of using powered sugar. I would like to try them. Please mail to California as I do not have vanilla and don't not want to move off of the couch.

    Thank you, Moogles

    1. Girl, you always need to have vanilla on hand.
      What were you thinking?
Am I allowed to send cookies through the mail...is that considered hazardous?
