CHEESECAKE BROWNIES

I just got back in town, and my husband was needing some home baked goods.
It's also Monday, and I'm hosting "The Bachelorette" girls night.
I have exactly 2 hours to run to the store and bake brownies before my Monday night girlfriend comes over.
(I also made some bruchetta snacks)

Ingredients:

Brownie Layer:
4 ounces of bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
1 stick of butter, cut into small pieces
3/4 cup of sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon of salt

Cheesecake Layer:
8 ounces of cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 cup of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 large egg
2 tablespoons of heavy cream

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Spray a glass pan with a non-stick spray.
In a large heat-proof bowl, melt the chocolate & butter in the
microwave in 30 second intervals.

Mix in between the intervals until melted.

Add the sugar and mix until combined.

Then add the eggs, one at a time & mix.

Add the vanilla & salt stir some more.

Sift in the flour & fold it in with the chocolate mixture.

Set aside 1/2 a cup of the batter and pour the rest into the sprayed pan.

Time for the Cheesecake part.

In a different bowl, using a mixer beat the cream cheese until smooth.

Add the sugar & beat until smooth.

On a low speed, beat in the egg & vanilla extract.

Add the heavy cream and beat until smooth.

Pour this on top of the brownie layer in the pan.

Take the reserved brownie batter and spoon dollops onto the cheesecake batter.

Take a toothpick and swirl the batters together until you get a marble effect.

Bake for 35 minutes.
Let them cool until the cheesecake layer has set.
I put it in the fridge.
